I myself chuckle from time to time, thinking that this happened in <insert anime name here>, and of course, like anyone who watches too much of these things, you’ll try to reach the same resolution as the anime the situation reminds you of.

I’m not crazy… I think.

I do know some of you think the same way that I do… maybe.

You’d think the surrealism of anime in general alone would suffice to put them on a class of their own, but certain parts of life can still be seen within them; a testament that the ones who created the anime are real humans, using their own life experiences to create worlds which dazzle, worlds that everyone would be fortunate enough to see.

Maybe then this surrealism is just a wide shout at the world. Why couldn’t life be as humorous? Why couldn’t we fly? Why couldn’t we all be 4 foot tall high schoolers with blue hair? They mold the world into something they think would be more pleasant, a bit more bearable, or just plain cooler.

This brings up a thought though. Why couldn’t we make the world funnier? Why couldn’t we make ourselves fly? We can do whatever we want if we do wish it to happen. Well, maybe not the last part. Not going to happen.

Maybe we are our the makers of our own world. Artists have pencils; we have time and personal will to create new experiences in our lives. Artists have coloring materials; we have our emotions to make our lives vivid. Artists have erasers… we don’t have time machines yet though. Maybe in the future?

May this finally work as well.

So far, it’s going to be a payroll system that I shall be doing for the remaining three months and from my point of view, so far, so good. No hitches yet, but I can’t do anything today since our supervisor is out and I don’t know the business process within the company. Today is a day for aesthetics, I guess.

Assembly coding. It liquidates my brain and leaves me with nothing left to hope for than the end of the class.

But now, actually, I appreciate how assembly coders do their jobs; writing confusing code for non-savvy masses.

NOTE: Yes, Sir Pat, the anti-obfuscation part of my brain just lagged. Yes, someone *is* wrong on the internet.

Which brings me to my point. I love being a programmer, and this is why. I like seeing people appreciate coding even if they don’t know what’s happening in the back end of it. It’s the little part of me that wants to bring people something that they want, even if they do not know they want it at all.

For this I need to study more things. Broaden horizons. Achieve the limitless and all that. As one of my teachers said, “If you do not like to study, then you have picked the wrong field.” As we know, technology moves at a fast pace. Almost every week we are assured of something new.

As I’m writing this, I’m learning Python. Guess who just budged a bit?

Meeting my friends’ friends never was a remarkable thing for me, seeing as most of them either dislike me just because or think I’m a predator trying to gobble them up in one fell swoop of sarcasm and dry wit (either it’s the glasses, the clutched book and/or the “serious” look). As predicted, I was correct and they didn’t even talk to me, so I just sank down the couch and read my book, nodding occasionally at some hilarious puns (it sucked) somewho tries to run. I can’t be blamed though, I did try to respond, but the overwhelming silence afterwards was just too much to bear repeatedly and still have some dignity left intact.

Also, one particular person even resorted to use taunts aimed at me. Fascinating.

I guess you can’t please everybody. I should have stayed home; I wouldn’t have had to feel guilty about being an inadequate participant, with a bonus of watching more House M.D. or 30Rock.

As a sidenote to those of you wondering why I’ve even wrote this in the first place is that they would never read my blog anyways. Heh.

In reply to Sir Pat’s post, and in my own experience as a student, these kind of teachers produce negative output from an allegedly (self-proclaimed) good input. Either the students learn nothing, or learn so little that it’s almost useless, yet, the students pass. It’s a waste of money, and frankly, a waste of the student’s time as well. How else are the students going to apply what they were supposed to teach? You might as have given them their OJTs and left them on it with not even the intention of making them better individuals.

In my mind, teachers are there to stimulate young minds and guide people on how to apply their knowledge in the real world. If you just bombard a student with knowledge (whether related or totally off target) and expect them to understand, either of three things may happen: the student learns from the experience and gets the healthy habit of reinforcing the knowledge given to them; fails miserably, gains trauma and repeats; or self-studies to catch up and gain the wrong information. With proper guidance, you can at most eliminate two of these scenarios and teach students to gain the love for learning. A person learning to curse himself for his/her weakness will make an ill prepared individual indeed.

Hopefully, if my plans get through, I would remember what I wrote and be the best teacher I can be, even if it may be just for a short time (?).

Oh, and yeah. Nothing happened today, other than my continued yearning to watch Cloverfield. Hopefully on Tuesday, the movie will be shown at last.

I’m starting to blog again, but this time, hopefully, I begin to write better posts than those below this one. So either something interesting happens or there was none.

Here’s hoping.

The schedule for next term has intense 3-subject blocks, even a 4-subject block in Thursday.

The enlistment for this semester is very very confusing to say the least. One of our major subjects, ALGOCOM, was dissolved. Without the foreshadowing given by Miss MCAG, I would have been very surprised. We had to all readvice with Miss Lissa to fix the little mishap to be able to enroll.

But I do know that I am working on this new template.

Again, dark colors. I don’t know why I like dark colors even if the content of my blog is far, far from being connected with black, and yes, the upper right is too barren.
So monotonous, it’s boring!

I did the word Joone, within JOONE.

JOONE is a neural network framework made in Java that makes it easier to train a neural net to react to certain inputs in different ways. Sort of like the human brain.
